7 months

Well I hate to say it but I am kinda glad that 6 months is over.  My sweet little Sienna there was not one night that you slept thru the whole night.  I think it is because you are getting teeth but we are hoping to have a very well rested seventh month!  You continue to be the best thing in our lives.  Each day you learn something new and you are so interested in everything that is going on around you.  Here are some things you have been up to:

• You now have 2 teeth
• You sit by yourself but still tip over every once in awhile
• You love to walk with the help of anyone that will let you
• You prefer to stand over sitting
• You have now started eating baby food, cereal, puffs and num nums, you like the puffs and num num but are still uncertain about baby food and cereal
• You love the vacuum, you light up whenever you see it!
• You roll to everything and kind of scoot a little bit
• Your first visit to the Pike Place Market was a success and everyone loved you and asked to take your picture.
• You are learning to wave
• You reach for people you know and sometimes people you don't :)
• You like to pull and suck on mommy's hair
• You like to be on daddy's shoulders
• You DO NOT like to be left alone
• You stayed overnight for the first time with both grandparents while mom and dad went to Vegas for the coug game
• You love going for the afternoon walks and watching the Inglemoor football team practice
• You sit in your high chair now
• You did your first 5K with mom and grandma Marilyn

We love you so much Sienna Hope!  Everything little thing about you makes us happy.  We are so blessed to have such an amazing, loving, and sweet baby girl.  You are the best.  One constructive criticism I would give to you, SLEEP.  That is about it, other than that you are PERFECT.

Daddy O!

Happy 60th Birthday to my Dad, the Big O is what they call him.  He may seem big and intimidating but really he is a kid stuck in a big guys body.  He seriously is one funny guy.  He makes family gatherings complete, with giving everyone a hard time on who they are dating, or saying "if you can touch me by the count of 5 I will give you $20",  or bringing up old times where he used to beat all of his nieces and nephews at different sports, and the list can go on and on.  He seriously is the life of the party and I know where he got that from...his mom, my grandma. :) 

I am one lucky daughter to have him as my dad.  He will drop anything he is doing if you need him.  Once, when I was in high school there was a HUGE, I mean HUGE spider in my room and no one was home.  So of course I call my dad who was out with friends at the Duchess to come home immediately because there was a spider in my room.  And without a blink of an eye he came home to find me on my bed with my eye on where the spider was and he took care of it.  That is what Dads are for.

Daddy O is what I called you when I was little and now we are calling you Poppa O because you are officially a grandpa.  Sienna loves you and so do her parents.  You are the best and we hope that there are 60 more years of THE BIG O.  The world would not be the same without you.

Bath Time

Sienna absolutely loves bath time!  I think she will be our little swimmer.  She doesn't care when you pour water on her head to wash out the bubbles, she just squeals. :)  I hope that she continues to love bath time since we started giving her baby food she is going to need a lot of bathing!!

5 AM

Dear 5 AM,

I would prefer you to be 8 AM or even 7 AM...but 5 AM I don't think I like you.  Can you please tell Sienna that she shouldn't like you either because that is her favorite time to get up.  Sometimes she will even throw a 4:30 in there.  It actually wouldn't be that bad if she hadn't already woken up at 2AM but she does.  So let's try to make a compromise...I will go halfway and you go halfway...we will meet in the middle. DEAL?

Top 10 reasons you knew you were in Vegas with Cougar Fans

1. On the plane down to Vegas from Seattle, your flight attendant says "Go Cougs!" numerous times over the planes speakers and your plane erupts with cheers!
2. Many Alaska flights were sold out of alcohol on the way down to Vegas, some before noon.
3. You are walking down the Vegas strip at 10AM and there are Coug fans everywhere with drinks and saying go cougs to everyone walking by.
4. You purchase a Flava Flave Clock full of booze at 11:30AM and keep refilling it so that you are still drinking out of it at the tailgate before the 7PM game.
5. You go to the Wazzu tailgate and DJ Goldfinger is spinning.
6. Coug fans outnumber the UNLV fans at the stadium.
7. The day after the game the official WSU Wet Republic pool party at the MGM is at capacity by1PM.
8. Cabanas all around the 4 pools at the MGM had Coug Flags flying proudly and fans wearing Wazzu bikinis and board shorts.
9. You dance your booty off like you are at 80s night at Vahalla, but really you are at PURE reliving your college dance parties.
10. You barely make it to your plane on Sunday and notice all the Coug fans sleeping on the floor of the airport and once on the plane you don't wake up until you are touching down in Seattle.

Bonus:

1. After drinking all day before the game, your hangover starts to set in UNTIL you get your photo with Bill Moos and it gives you your 2nd wind!
2. At breakfast the day after the big victory for crimson and gray, you excuse yourself from the table to umm..., when you return no one bats an eye.

GO COUGS!!  Vegas, I can only take you once in awhile but when I am with you I have a blast!!
Thanks for a good time.  And I kinda missed you at about 1PM on Monday for about a half a second. 

But nothing could replace getting home to see my sweet little baby girl!  Best part of the trip. :)

Half a Year

My sweet baby girl is 6 months.  I still can't believe how fast she has grown.  She has been the best addition to our family and I seriously love her more and more every day.  When I leave work I am so excited to walk thru the door and see her smiling face! 

Here are some things she has been up to the last month:

• Got your first tooth!
• Went to your first fair (Evergreen State Fair)
• Still can fit in her 3 month clothes but 3-6 fits best
• Moved onto 3 diapers
• You can sit by yourself for about 3-5 seconds
• You scoot on your back to get to something that you want
• You have the fastest hands and if something is close you grab it with the quickness.  I can see you as future basketball defender stealing the ball!
• You open and close your mouth all the time because you are starting to test out your new tooth.
• You love music and dancing
• You are getting used to a lot loving family members taking care of you everyday.
• You like to get up early
• You still say momomomomoma
