A new father

Father's Day took on a whole new meaning for LT this year.  He told me so. :)  We all went to the horse races with my dad and brother the day before Dad's Day and although LT didn't come out a winner we still had a good time.  On the official day LT got some yummy crepes and fresh fruit in bed along with coffee from his new Keurig machine.  Sienna got up and went to get her presents for Daddy, which consisted of a brag book of herself, a nice zip up hoodie and Cougar shorts. 


Dad then got to decide what he wanted to do for the day.  We walked the Kirkland waterfront and stopped at Cafe Rococo for more coffee! :)  All in all it was a wonderful day!


To the new dad on the block,
You are one amazing father and your little girl is going to always look up to you.  We love you so much and you have been nothing but top notch in the new dad department.  It makes me so happy to see you so happy with our precious baby girl.  I can just see the love she has for you growing so much everyday!

Years young...that's my Grandpa!!!  He is one of the most amazing, smart, loving people I have ever come across.  He came over from Sweden when he was just 7 years old, he has lived in the same house for the last 65 years, he was married to his lovely wife(my grandma) for 68 years, he strormed the beaches of Normandy, he worked up until he was almost 90, he was chosen as Washington State's senior worker of the year and got recogonized in Washington DC, he has 4 children, 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

My grandpa would do anything for his family.  He came to the majority of me and my brothers basketball and baseball games.  He loves seeing his family succeed.  He came to my high school and college graduation.  He picked me up from girl scouts, he always remembers your birthday, he comes over late at night when you are home alone becuase you swear you heard something and checks the whole house to make sure everything is ok, he loves when you stop by just to say hello.

He LOVES babies!!  So right now Sienna is his favorite person. :)  He can get her to smile like no other.  My grandpa is one of the best people I know.  

Happiest of birthdays to you Grandpa Ostrom!!  We love you sooo much and can't wait to celebrate the big 95 next year!!

Lately I can't get enough of this stuff.  Lucky for me there are 2 new shops that opened up in Juanita Village so I can have my choice of where to go!   Why hasn't this been in Washington all our lives???  I love how you get to mix all the flavors you want and add whatever toppings you like.  So delish.  I could have this for dessert every night. :) BOMB!!

Three months

I can't believe how fast these months are flying by.  You are an absolute joy, Sienna!  You make my heart grow every time you look up at me with those baby blues and smile.  I am so in love with you it is ridiculous. :) 

Here are some things you have been up to this month:

- you love the ceiling fans in our rooms.  I think you think it is your best friend
- you have been to your 1st & 2nd mariners game
- you went on your first ferry boat ride
- you made your tv debut on A New Day Northwest with Beav and Briggs
- you see your bf Briggs weekly
- you like to stand all the time with assistance, and you look so proud when you stand.
- you still kick like crazy
- you are in size 1 diapers
- you are a size 0-3 month in clothes and we are in the process of weeding thru all the newborn stuff!
- you drool a TON.  I mean puddles. :)
- you like to fit your entire fist in your mouth and you pretty much like sucking on everything
- you also like to spit when you talk now...not sure what to think about that
- tummy time is getting a lot better.  You are now able to lay there for about 3 mins
- you like to pull mommys hair
- you still don't really nap during the day, just about 20-30 mins at a time but in the evening we can usually get an hour out of you. You just like to see what is going on around you all the time, so you don't nap for long because you don't want to miss a thing!
- you are pretty much on a schedule of 9 or 10 PM to about 4 AM as far as sleeping goes
- we have playtime and you are so interested in your toys
- you love to look at yourself in the mirror
- me and your dad swear we heard you say "mommadada"
- you can support your own head and you have a grip like crazy
- you lean forward a lot, so we think you will be sitting up by yourself pretty soon
- you love being out in the fresh air. We are hoping for a sunny June!
- you still love to smile and you laugh a little bit. It sort of sounds like heh heh...we are still waiting for that first official belly laugh
- you like to read books
- you still love your changing table

Stats:
Guessing 12 lbs and 97 inches in length. HA! JK but you are one long lady! We won't get your official stats until your 4 month appointment. So in the meantime you are the worlds longest 3month old. :)
