We had an absolute blast in Cannon Beach this year! So many family members came to visit. It was a perfect week. We had many happy hours at the Warren's Pub with the very delicious Blackberry Beauty Beer, morning and evening walks on the beach, campfires with smores, and lots of coffee from the Sleepy Monk. The dinners were jam packed with people and tons of great food! Sienna got to play with a lot of her cousins which talked about for weeks after and still talks about. The weather was perfect and we did the traditional trip to Seaside for bumper cars and ice cream. This year Sienna said she wanted to ride with me in the bumper cars...that lasted all of 5 seconds and then we got hit and she bumped her head on the wheel and they stopped the ride so we could get off and we cheered from the sideline the rest of the time. :)
I love that we do this every year with both sides of the family. We all have the best time and get a little relaxation mixed in there as well! Until next year CB!!
Here is a video to show just how much fun kids have at the beach! P.S. boys v. girls cracks me up!:

My little ballerina
Sienna started ballet class at the end of July at North Kirkland Community Center. I was hesitant at how she would take to the class since in the past she has kinda been a clinger to me, grandma or whomever is with her when it comes to these types of things. But we bought her a tutu, tights and ballet slippers and the girl was sold!
We walked into class and Miss Renee was very friendly and Sienna warmed up to her right off the bat. We started with stretches and she was doing everything on her own and not clinging to my leg. I was shocked and sooo impressed!! Out of all the little ballerinas Sienna was the only one that listened and followed the directions. She did amazing!
Each week she was so excited to go to class and always did an amazing job. I think we have a little ballerina on our hands! She loves ballet! Such a little sweetie.

A Piedmont 4th of July
This 4th of July we flew down to California to visit family in Piedmont. It has always been one of my favorite places to visit because I love spending time with my Aunt Carolee and all the California family members. When I was growing up we went down to Piedmont for the 4th of July and I was in the parade and I thought it would be a great rite of passage for Sienna to do the same. Although, she didn't partake in the parade she REALLY enjoyed watching it! It was the perfect mix of everything and everyone is dressed in their RED, WHITE and BLUE.
My Uncle John is a part of the Horseless Carriage Club and each 4th they always come and show off their cars in the parade. It is so fun and the weather is always perfect! After the parade my Aunt and Uncle host their annual 4th of July party and probably 100-200 people come thru throughout the day. They truly know how to throw a seamless party!
After the party at my Aunt and Uncle's house we carried the party to my cousins block party. They shut down the whole block and have jumpy houses, water balloon fights, sparklers, potluck dinner, my cousins Wes's winning homebrew, fireworks and an outdoor movie when the sun goes down! It was a perfect end to the 4th of July and to top it off their block won the Best Float in the parade!!!!
It was such a great trip and Sienna loved playing with her cousins. Matt is her new best friend and she always asks when she will see all the boys again. It won't be long...we will be down for some trick or treating in October!
