Holiday Letter...

Well, 2011 was quite a year.  LT and I did lots of traveling, I got knocked up with a little bambino and had a lot of good memories that we will cherish forever.

Our travels lead us to Arizona for spring training and sunshine!  Let’s just say luck was in our favor this trip.  We sat behind the M’s dugout (thanks Granstons) and I got King Felix’s autograph.  We bought the cheap seats to a NBA basketball game and were upgraded to courtside seats with unlimited food and drinks for the Suns v. Thunder (old Sonics L) basketball game.  Thanks Aunt Lori and Uncle Jim for the hospitality!  We then made our way to Louisville for the 137th Kentucky Derby for my 30th birthday.  Check that off the bucket list!  It was AMAZING and my cousins, Chris and Susan, hooked it up with awesome tickets.  We continued our tradition every summer of going to Cannon Beach, OR.  We celebrated the 4th of July and Kristin’s 3oth surprise birthday at the beach house with good friends and family!  We then took on the HEAT of the east coast for a whirlwind trip of NYC, Boston, Jersey Shore and Washington, DC.  All great cities, with so much history!  We can’t forget the annual Red Neck Yacht Club party at Liberty Lake, WA.  Always a good time!  Last but not least we headed down to Sunny San Diego for LT's birthday.  Lots of fun and his first time in San Diego!!!  We also attended some fabulous weddings, awesome bachelorette parties (San Francisco & Chelan) and lots of birthdays and fun family gatherings.

In July, LT and I found out I was expecting.  We were thrilled and we are so excited to meet our little girl in March.  Being pregnant sure has had its ups and downs but I know it will be all ups when she arrives.  You are loved so much already, Baby Girl Turner!
Some big changes this year have been my move to work for Microsoft in the LCA Litigation Department. So far it has been a great experience and I enjoy my group. LT is still working at Rachel Carson Elementary as a 5th grade teacher. I completed the Susan G Komen 60 mile breast cancer walk in September with my mom. What an amazing and inspiring experience. Let's get rid of cancer!! We also took on the challenge of renting our condo and moving in with both sets of parents to save money for a house (which we are hoping to have in January or February. Cross your fingers!) Both set of parents have been very accommodating and so so generous with their homes and food. J We are very lucky.
We lost my grandma Ostrom to cancer in October. It happened quite quickly but we know that she is in a better place and will always be with us in spirit. She was 91 and lived a great, long life with my grandpa for 69 years! We will miss her giggles this Christmas.

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health and holiday cheer! Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy NEW YEAR! We have a lot to look forward to in 2012 and can’t wait for all the adventures to begin.

With love,

The Turners
